Last Saturday night we had the great honor of photographing the annual American Red Cross Dance, "Puttin' On The Ritz" at the Memorial Auditorium in Burlington, Iowa. The mission of the American Red Cross is to provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Des Moines County chapter of the Red Cross provides services and a helping hand in many different ways. They provide CPR and First Aid training, military emergency communications, emergency preparedness programs, disaster relief and response, and coordinate various youth health and safety programs. It was so fun to see all of the talented dancers that participated and made their fundraising event a success!
Welcome Baby Lucy! We had the wonderful honor of photographing the birth of Lucy Ann at 4:08pm on March 19, 2009 in Iowa City at Mercy Hospital. She is absolutely precious and as you can see has tons of hair already!
She looks just like her big brother, Henry, and we think she's pretty neat. Lucy was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long. She has long fingers and toes already so we think she's going to grow pretty tall before we know it! We are soo excited to watch her grow big just like her brother!
Emily is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! She graciously let me photograph her precious belly in anticipation for her daughter. We photographed some black and white maternity images as well as some of these warm tones to bring out her beautiful skin.
Big Brother Garrett isn't too sure he wants to share the limelight though as you check on his portrait with his mommy! How timeless and funny!
Emily plans to deliver her baby girl by Cesarean section at Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. Can't wait to meet her!
What an awesome experience to photograph the birth of Haley Lynn! She was born February 13, 2009 at Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches long. What a beautiful baby girl! Her mommy was so excited to meet her after a C section that morning, but everything went very well and she was in great hands that morning with Dr. Marshall and the wonderful nurses in OB. We can't wait to watch her grow now!
Kids are sooo much fun! We recently had a visit from Burlington, Iowa area kids during a field trip they took to KimAnne's for their after school program at the local YMCA. They came in like a herd of cattle and were soo excited to learn a little about photography and model and photograph their classmates. How cute are they! Take a sneak peak at some of their silly images!
